Are touched by alchemists in autumn-
First the wheat, then the beans and corn.
And when all the earth is golden pale,
And the moon rises golden bright,
Farmers, like Neptune riding his sea serpent,
Drive combines through misty fields.
They swallow up the golden waves
And spew streams of gold into waiting vessels
Named International Harvester, Massey Ferguson,
Or John Deere.
